Overview
We welcome groups of all kinds — Scouts, Guides, Duke of Edinburgh participants, youth clubs, community organisations and charitable groups. Sessions are fully led by the FBR team and adapted to suit your group, so it doesn't matter if nobody has ever set foot on a climbing wall before.
Climbing counts towards a range of youth awards and badge schemes, and we're happy to talk through how a session with us might support whatever your group is working towards. Get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
How It Works & What to Expect
We work with you beforehand to understand your group and make sure the session is right for them. On the day, our team handles everything — safety briefing, instruction and keeping the energy going from start to finish.
What tends to happen is this: people arrive a little nervous, someone goes first, and within a few minutes the whole group is on the wall and nobody wants to come down. Climbing has a brilliant way of bringing a group together — it's challenging enough to feel like a proper achievement, accessible enough that everyone can get involved, and just the right amount of terrifying to make it memorable.
What They'll Get Out of It
Confidence — tackling something unfamiliar and discovering they're more capable than they thought
Teamwork — encouraging each other, celebrating each other's progress, working it out together
Resilience — trying something hard, not getting it first time, and going again anyway
Physical challenge — coordination, balance, strength and spatial awareness all in one activity
A really good time — which, for a youth group, matters just as much as everything else
