Power Hour (and a half) — Intermediates

Perfect for those climbing on tags 3–6 or around V3–V6.

Session overview

You know the basics. You're comfortable on the wall. But somewhere between where you are and where you want to be, progress has started to feel a little slower. Sound familiar?

Power Hour (and a half) for intermediates is free weekly coaching designed to shake off the bad habits that creep in over time, sharpen your technique on harder terrain, and give you the tools to push through the plateaus that every climber hits. Drop in whenever a session catches your eye — each one is worth your time on its own.

What you'll learn

A focused 90-minute coached session built for climbers who already have the foundations but are ready to go further. Each week drills into a specific area of technique or training, guided by the FBR team with real attention on your climbing — not just a group demo.

Capped at eight climbers so the coaching is specific, honest and actually useful.

See below for the weekly topics.

The 8-Week Rotation

Join us for 8 weeks of progressive climbing training. You can attend as a one off or the whole shebang. Totally up to you.
1

Back to Basics

This session takes an honest look at the foundations — movement, footwork, body tension — and helps you identify where your technique might be quietly holding you back.
2

Advanced Footwork

This session digs into the subtleties: smearing, heel hooks, toe hooks and how to keep your feet working hard when the holds get smaller and the moves get more demanding.
3

Body Position & Route Reading

This session focuses on understanding complex sequences before you climb them — flagging, twisting, hip positioning — so you're solving the puzzle on the ground instead of burning out halfway through.
4

Advanced Slab & Vertical Climbing

This session tackles FBR's more demanding slab and vertical terrain — building the balance, commitment and footwork precision needed to make technical climbing feel controlled rather than terrifying.
5

Consolidation

This session puts your technique to work on real problems, with coaching focused on identifying what's genuinely improving and what still needs attention. Expect honest feedback, useful drills and a clearer picture of where to direct your energy.
6

Steeper Ground

You've been on overhangs before — but this session takes it further. Dynamic movement, lock-offs, reading sequences on steep terrain and managing the pump that comes with it.
7

Endurance

This session introduces structured approaches to building endurance, including how to get the most out of the circuit board and how to design your own sessions so progress doesn't stop when the coaching does.
8

Projects

Tackling your climbing hurdles head on that problem you keep going back to. The move that just won't click. This session is built around your specific sticking points, with focused coach input to break down what's going wrong and find a way through.
