Mini's Climbing Club

A weekly climbing club for children aged 7-9.

Club overview

Old enough to start getting serious about climbing — but still young enough that fun absolutely comes first. Mini Bouldering Club is a weekly after-school and weekend club for 7 to 9 year olds who are ready to develop real climbing skills in a supportive, energetic environment.

Whether your child has never touched a wall or has already caught the climbing bug, this club meets them where they are and helps them progress at a pace that feels achievable and exciting.

How it works and what to expect

Our Mini Bouldering Club runs weekly throughout the school term as part of FBR's regular junior programme. Signing up means joining the club and securing a regular weekly spot — not just a one-off session. Sessions are booked in half-term blocks of six, giving your child the consistency they need to genuinely improve and the routine they'll start to look forward to every week.

Each session builds on the last, with coaching focused on developing climbing technique, safety awareness and growing confidence on the wall. With a maximum of six children per group, every climber gets real attention from the FBR team — not just a turn on the wall.

Sessions are active, engaging and designed to challenge young climbers just enough to keep them hooked.

What they'll learn

Climbing technique — movement, footwork and body positioning for beginner to intermediate problems

Safety knowledge — how to climb, fall and move around the wall responsibly

Confidence & resilience — learning to tackle problems they can't do yet and discovering they can

Progression — building skills week on week with coaches who know where each child is headed
